The dram [apothecaries] is a unit of weight in the traditional system of English apothecaries, equal to 60 grains, 3 scruples, 1/8 troy ounce, or approximately 3.8879 gram. The talent is a historic unit of weight, used in various forms throughout the eastern Mediterranean. The Hebrew sacred talent, mentioned in the Bible, was equal to 60 minas or about 30 kilograms (66 pounds). The Greek talent, also equal to 60 minas, was smaller, 25.8 kilograms or about 57 pounds.
